Welcome to our bright and beautiful practice

In our modern, well-equipped practice, we emphasise a friendly and warm-hearted atmosphere in which young and old can always feel welcome.

The practice is located on the first floor and is easily accessible via a spacious lift. In the waiting room the children can spend time with an indoor slide while waiting for their appointment. There is also a separate breastfeeding room for younger patients, where they can wait for their examinations separately from older children.

Our 8 bright and child-friendly examination rooms offer sufficient space, peace and quiet for the examinations. In addition, a testing room and a laboratory are available for further diagnostics.

The history of our practice

1950 - The first paediatric practice in Nippes
The history of our practice with its location in Nippes begins in the 1950s. At that time, Dr. Sitt set up the first ever paediatric practice in Nippes. It was located at Neusser Straße above the Floraapotheke - but much smaller and limited to a single floor.
1974 - Expansion of the Flora pharmacy
In 1974, paediatrician Dr. Jochen Müller took over the practice. He ran it with passion and great commitment - the rooms soon became too small, so that an extension to the upper floor became necessary.
1998/99 - The Weiland family joins the practice
Dr Ulrike Weiland has been part of the practice since 1998, initially as an employed doctor. Dr Martin Weiland followed a year later. He took over the practice in 2000. Dr Ulrike Weiland took over another practice seat in 2009.
2018 – New spaces
After a long search and planning process, we moved to our new practice at Xantener Str. 105 in summer 2018, where we can now realise our aim of providing children with friendly and spacious rooms in an environment where everyone feels comfortable.
2024 – Expansion of practice partners
Since April 2024, the practice has been managed by Dr .Sören Bäumner, Dr. Laura Höbing, Dr. Judith Weiland and Dr. Martin Weiland.
2026 - Updates
At the beginning of 2026, Dr. Ulrike Weiland retired after many years of dedicated service as a pediatrician. In July, Dr. Martin Weiland transferred his statutory health insurance practice share to Dr. Helge Sill as part of his pre-retirement. Together with our employed pediatricians, Hannah Weiland and Cornelia Wenzel, as well as our experienced and friendly medical assistants, we remain fully committed to provide the best possible care for your children.
